First Secure Page

The "First Secure Page" column allows you to specify the first page a user will see after logging in. In the example below, some employees will go to emp119087g.htm, and others will go to emp119084b.htm.

The First Secure Page should be a page on the site that is protected by the JavaScript code created when you "
Create Password Set".

The First Secure Page field can contain letters and numerals and other characters acceptable in a web address, for example a forward slash (/), a period (.), a hyphen(-).

A good way to give your secure pages extra security is to assign non-obvious names. Don't name your secure pages with names that might be guessable by outsiders, like
customers.htm or employees.htm. Instead, you might give the secure pages names consisting of  letters and numbers like emp119087g.htm, as in the above example. In addition, you should not link to the secure pages anywhere on your site, and your site should contain no reference to the existence of the secure pages.

The "First Secure Page" field should always contain the extension of the page name, for example the ".htm" in
emp119087g.htm. (You can use WebBuild Password Security to link to secure pages that have .php, .asp, .jsp, .cfm, and many other extensions.
